Ingredients
- 1 cup sticky (sushi) rice
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions
- Do not rinse rice – rinsing removes surface starch, which makes rice sticky. You can use long-grain rice, using more water than traditional recipe.
- Combine rice, water, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes, until rice is tender.
- Remove saucepan from heat and let stand for 10 minutes to stream.
