Instant Pot Hard/Soft Boiled Eggs

Ingredients

  • Eggs
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  • Place the rack in the bottom of the pot. Pour the water in the pot. Place the eggs on the rack.

Soft Boiled:

  1. Set Instant Pot to manual mode for 3 minutes.
  2. At 3 minutes, quick release the pressure, placing a towel over the valve.
  3. Quickly run the eggs under cold running water until cool enough to hold, or in an ice bath.
  4. Peel immediately.

Hard Boiled:

  1. Set Instant Pot to manual mode for 4 minutes.
  2. At 5 minutes, allow pressure to release naturally for 4 minutes (leaving the Instant Pot untouched until the increasing timer reaches 4 minutes).
  3. After 4 minutes have passed, quick release the pressure, placing a towel over the valve.
  4. Quickly run the eggs under cold running water until cool enough to hold, or in an ice bath.
  5. These can be peeled immediately, or stored in the shell for up to 1 week refrigerated.
