Sesame Sauce (Goma Su)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hulled white sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar, unseasoned
  • 1 tsp. olive or sesame oil

(Serves 2-4)

Directions

  1. Toast sesame seeds until slightly brown, let cool.
  2. Pulverize sesame seeds in spice mill to a paste.
  3. Combine all ingredients well.

Note

This can be made up to 1 day in advance and refrigerated.
